Overview

InviteTheClass is a free service for creating and managing children's party invitations and RSVPs. By using this site you agree to these terms. They are written plainly — if something isn't clear, contact us.

1. About the Service

InviteTheClass ("the Site", "we", "us") lets parents and guardians create party invitations, share them as a link, and collect RSVPs and allergy information from other parents. Neither hosts nor guests need an account to use the service.

The service is provided free of charge and is funded by optional donations. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use the Site to create genuine invitations for real children's parties. You must not use the Site to:

• Create fake, test, or spam events at scale
• Collect personal data under false pretences
• Harass, mislead, or harm other users
• Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts that are not yours
• Violate any applicable law, including UK data protection law

3. Host Responsibilities

As a host, you are responsible for:

• Only collecting information genuinely needed for your event
• Only sharing your invite link with the intended guests
• Keeping your dashboard link private — it gives access to all RSVP data
• Not asking guests to provide data that is unnecessary or excessive

The personal link you receive when creating a party is the key to your event. Treat it like a password — do not share it publicly or post it anywhere it could be found by strangers.

4. Allergy and Medical Information

If you enable allergy or dietary information collection, you are asking guests to provide special category data under UK GDPR. You must use this information only to keep children safe at your event. You must not share it beyond the people who genuinely need it (for example, the venue or caterers).

5. Privacy and Data

How we collect, use, and delete personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. The short version: we only collect what's needed for the event, and we delete it all afterwards.

6. No Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. We will do our best to keep it running reliably, but we cannot promise uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to: loss of RSVP data, errors in allergy information provided by guests, or reliance on information shown on the Site.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Third-Party Links

The Site may include links to external websites (for example, a venue address on a map). We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party sites.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. We will note the date of the last update at the top of this page.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
